BOSTON, March 1, 2018 – Bedrock Data™ has launched Fusion, SaaS software that dramatically reduces the time and cost associated with unifying customer data across cloud applications.

The resulting Fused Database enables Customer 360 analytics, business intelligence and real-time dashboards by eliminating the delays of data preparation.

“Data prep and ingestion are traditionally 80% of the time for an analytics project -- the tedious work required by analysts, operations and IT professionals. Fusion takes that number down to zero by automatically connecting to application data sources and fusing customer data into one powerful source of truth. It’s a game changer for businesses looking to get a complete view of their customers,” said Taylor Barstow, CEO and technical co-founder of Bedrock Data.

Using Fusion, organizations can replace manual data preparation with a Fused Database, a continuous pipeline of unified customer data to feed reports, dashboards and BI tools such as Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, Amazon QuickSight, YellowFin and Metabase.

A 360-degree view of the customer has been typically impossible to achieve due to the complexity and time spent unifying data across different data sources. Each application has its own siloed data, which are difficult to combine based on the unique data structure of each application. So business analysts are forced to spend far too many hours piecing data together from multiple systems to answer urgent requests from executives on the next critical business question.

Fusion addresses these operational challenges by automating four previously disconnected steps:

  1. Connects: Fusion connects to your SaaS applications via their APIs using pre-built connectors -- a wide range of systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Marketo, HubSpot, ZenDesk, Freshdesk, HelpScout, Shopify and many more.
  2. Fuses: Ensures all records are accurately deduplicated, matched, mapped, resolved and normalized across your systems. Records across different systems that represent the same identity are combined into a single, unified record - resolving conflicts between the different datasets.
  3. Warehouses: Builds a MySQL database housing the unified Fused Database, with a standardized data schema of object relationships, greatly simplifying the task of multi-dimensional data queries.
  4. Feeds: Provides standard SQL keys to access the warehouse via reporting, dashboard and analytics tools.

Gary Jackson, new Bedrock Data board member and three-time CEO with successful exits with Synopsis, HP and IBM said, “As a CEO, investors and boards consistently told me, ‘if you don’t have a daily view of your business metrics, you don’t have a business.’ I recently joined Bedrock Data’s Board as the problems addressed by Fusion struck a direct chord with me. Fusion enables real-time analytics with the tools of your choice, while lifting a significant burden and saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in cost from analysts & IT personnel.”
