Kevin Wang


Principal

Raised in a family of engineers and trained as a data scientist, Kevin loves all things tech. He joined .406 Ventures in 2019 and has extensive technology advisory and investment experience, having worked closely with data and AI companies ranging from start-ups to F2000 enterprises.

At .406, Kevin focuses on Data +AI investing and manages the .406 Internship Program. He has supported the growth of several exceptional companies including Bobsled, ChaosSearch, ClosedLoop, KSOC, Linea, retrain.ai, Telmai, and Trilio.

Prior to joining .406, Kevin was a growth investor at BV Investment Partners, where he spent his time with tech companies serving financial services, healthcare, and supply chain. He began his career in technology investment banking at J.P. Morgan where he engaged with F2000 companies in M&A, debt & equity financings, and activism defense. Kevin spent most of his time within enterprise software and tech-enabled services and was the analyst on Web.com’s acquisition of Yodle and on AMC Networks’ investment in BBC America.

He serves as a Big Brother as part of Big Brothers Big Sisters and enjoys backpacking, scuba diving, skiing, and playing poker.

Kevin received his BA in Economics and Mathematics from UConn and his MA in Quantitative Methods/ Data Science from Columbia University.

    As a first-generation American, I have strong ties to Taiwan - my home away from home. I spent many summers there visiting family, eating lots of seafood, and exploring the island. Happy to give recommendations!
