Payal Agrawal Divakaran joined .406 in 2015 and co-leads the Healthcare investing activity at the firm. She brings a wide range of experiences to invest in companies that leverage technology to provide better healthcare services.
Prior to .406, Payal was the co-founder of a company called SpotRocket, which participated in the Rock Center Accelerator program. The company’s proprietary algorithm ranked 20,000+ global startups and provided the ability to slice and dice the data to help students identify high potential job opportunities.
Payal’s experiences before her entrepreneurial stint include roles in corporate development at Eventbrite and growth equity investing at Spectrum Equity in Boston. At Spectrum, she sourced and executed on deals in the software, information services, data/analytics, security and internet spaces. Payal started her career in technology investment banking at J.P. Morgan in NYC during the great financial crisis.
Payal is actively involved in the Boston healthcare and entrepreneurial ecosystem. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of Dana Farber Cancer Institute, a Venture Capital Advisor at Harvard Business School (HBS), an Advisory Board Member for Boston Children’s Hospital Innovation & Digital Health Accelerator, and a mentor for MIT Sandbox.
Payal received her MBA, with Distinction, from Harvard Business School and her BS in Electrical Engineering and minor in Management from MIT.
