Threat Stack and Red Canary Announce Partnership to Drive Incident Response and Remediation in the Cloud
BOSTON, Mass. — November 15, 2018 — Threat Stack, the leader in cloud infrastructure security, and Red Canary, a cloud-based managed detection and response solution, today announced a partnership designed to offer response and remediation in the cloud. Together, Red Canary and Threat Stack will be able to reduce the mean time to remediation for security alerts identified by the Threat Stack Cloud Security Platform®️ and Threat Stack Cloud SecOps Program℠.
Threat Stack’s industry-leading full stack security observability across cloud infrastructure — from control plane, host, container, orchestration, and application layer — in combination with Red Canary, enables customers to streamline response efforts by outsourcing alert investigation and enabling customers to focus only on incidents that require active remediation. As an example, Ping Identity, the leader in identity defined security, have been looking for the next-generation cloud data breach detection and remediation capabilities offered by this partnership.
“Visibility within your cloud environment, and the ability to quickly respond when things go bad, are two of the most important elements of any security program,” said Robb Reck, CISO, Ping Identity. “The combination of Red Canary’s critical response solution and Threat Stack’s cloud threat detection capabilities helps provide visibility of our cloud infrastructure and its security posture, so we can quickly respond when needed.”
“With Threat Stack’s high fidelity signals, Red Canary customers will gain unprecedented visibility into their cloud infrastructure,” said Brian Beyer, CEO and Co-Founder, Red Canary. “The combination of Threat Stack’s data and Red Canary’s services will give customers the most actionable cloud remediation available today.”
"This new partnership will be a game changer for Threat Stack and Red Canary customers,” said Brian M. Ahern, CEO, Threat Stack. “Threat Stack customers will now be able to reduce their mean time to remediation with the addition of automated incident response to the Cloud SecOps Program and streamlined delivery of proactive risk management for enterprises scaling their business securely in the cloud.”

How RAD Helps Teams Answer the Only Question That Matters: Are We Exposed? Operational lessons from React2Shell and Shai Hulud, and how RAD closes the visibility gap.
React2Shell and Shai Hulud highlight different attack paths, but both expose the same operational gap. Most security programs do not have a fast, reliable way to answer whether they are affected. They rely on best-effort scans, tribal knowledge, and long manual investigations. By the time an answer comes back, the opportunity to contain the blast radius is gone.
