Leading global specialty insurer deploys Indico Data to accelerate submission intake across complex risks
Deployment supports property facultative reinsurance and crisis management use cases in the London Market
Boston, MA – January 29, 2026 Indico Data today announced that a leading global specialty insurer in the London Market has deployed Indico’s Intake & Orchestration Platform to modernize how underwriting work enters and moves through the organization, starting with its most complex risks.
The insurer’s initial deployment focuses on automating the ingestion, enrichment, validation, and orchestration of submissions for specialty property and crisis management exposures. These risks arrive through large, highly variable submission packets, multiple broker formats, and time-sensitive placements, where upstream intake failure becomes the primary constraint on underwriting throughput.
The deployment is part of a broader modernization initiative aimed at replacing fragmented, manual intake processes with a single operational layer that governs the front door of underwriting. By preparing work before it reaches downstream systems and teams, the insurer is eliminating administrative drag, improving data quality upstream, and accelerating time-to-decision on complex risks without increasing headcount.
“Across specialty and facultative risks, underwriting performance is dictated long before risk evaluation begins,” said Tom Wilde, CEO of Indico Data. “This deployment reflects a broader shift we’re seeing among established specialty insurers, recognizing that no amount of downstream sophistication can compensate for a broken front door.”
Indico was selected for its ability to operate in production at enterprise scale, handle extreme document variability, and integrate cleanly with existing underwriting and policy systems. The platform delivers governed, traceable, system-ready outputs, establishing a reusable intake and orchestration foundation that allows downstream underwriting tools to finally perform as intended.
This deployment further strengthens Indico’s footprint among Tier-1 specialty insurers and reinsurers modernizing insurance operations across the London Market and globally.
About Indico Data
